Equine Physiotherapy
Equine physiotherapy is essential for maintaining good physical health in ridden and competition horses. The aims are to reduce discomfort, improve mobility and function, increase strength, and enhance performance. Scientifically evidenced as a highly effective complementary treatment, physiotherapy is often utilised to improve ridden performance, address behavioural issues as a result of physical discomfort, injury rehabilitation and returning to work following time off.
Our services
Performance / Maintenance Physiotherapy
Routine appointments using mixed modalities (manual and electrotherapies) to improve physical health, flexibility and performance.
Advanced Pain Management and Tissue Repair
Focused LASER or TECAR electrotherapeutic treatments useful in the treatment of tendon/ligament injuries, SI pain, joint disease and more. This may be covered by your horse insurance.
Rehabilitation Physiotherapy
Conservative treatment option, or post injury or surgery. Clinically evidenced, case specific treatment techniques and rehabilitation plans.
This may be covered by your horse insurance.
Focused Groundwork Sessions
Equine biomechanical assessments and targeted physical exercises, optimising performance and preventing injuries. Suitable for all abilities.

For race yards and commercial equestrian businesses requiring regular physiotherapy visits.
Owner Equipment Hire
Red Light Device, £30 per week. TENS (pain relief) also available. Application advice provided for safe use. Additional equipment available on request.
Mileage Charges
Applicable to all home visits, charged at 50p per mile outside of 15 miles of YO61.

Absolutely amazing! I moved up to thirsk for 12 months and needed to find a physio for my horse with kissing spine, Trudy helped me rehab my horse back into work full time!
