Canine Physiotherapy
Canine physiotherapy aims to reduce discomfort, improve mobility and function, increase strength, and enhance performance - in that order. Scientifically recognised as a highly effective complementary treatment, physiotherapy is often utilised to avoid surgery, aid post surgical recovery, slow deterioration of musculoskeletal diseases and for formulating specialist conditioning programmes.
It is also covered by most pet insurance providers and isn't limited to just dogs - cats and other small animals can benefit just as much!
What Can We Help With
Rehabilitation
As within human medicine, physiotherapy is essential for complete, long-term physical recovery. Whether that is post-operatively or as part of conservative repair, bony or neurological, evidenced based physiotherapy is a must for physical rehabilitation. Common cases include: IVDD, cruciate injury, TPLO repairs, hip replacements, fractures.
Maintenance & Geriatric Support

Investing in your dogs mobility, particularly for chronic conditions and ageing, can add years onto their life. Physiotherapy aims to improve comfort non-invasively or chemically, and build/maintain muscle for joint support and improved motility. Common cases include: joint dysplasia, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, age related ailments (atrophy, stiffness).
Performance & Conditioning
Goal-specific physiotherapy regimes to physically prepare your sporting or competition dog. Ensure peak performance by maximising strength, endurance, equal limb usage/loading and crucially reduce the risk of injury.

Hydro with Trudie isn’t just about using an underwater treadmill—her expertise as a vet physio means every session is tailored to his recovery and works hand-in-hand with the exercises she’s given us to do at home.
My dog is a barky and bouncy handful, but Trudie’s patience and skill helped him settle quickly and make real progress. Her dedication gives me so much confidence that this is a key part of his recovery.
